My point has plenty of merit to those without their NYRA goggles on...

Do you honestly think that if Uncle Mo had not been pointing to that race the field would be the same? I don't.

Of course not... but this is exceptionally weak.

Who the hell wants to face Uncle Mo before the Derby? You can't honestly be blaming NYRA for not getting any other stars in the race.

If you read my original post, I said the fields are awful when not taking Uncle Mo into consideration.. I didn't blame anyone one way or another.

We must be near a big raceday. All of the douches are coming out of the woodwork.

It's a fine card in my opinion - what annoys me about it though - is that the Wood Memorial is the only two-turn dirt race on the entire 11-race card.
Basically - you can't trust any speed figure or any pace figure from this race. It's almost pointless to even assign a figure to this race. Especially pace wise. You've got a big field of lightly raced 3-year-olds without a lot of established route form. A truly worthless situation to assign numbers to a race like this. These are situations where even final time numbers can sometimes look 8-to-12 points wrong several months later. In terms of judging the pace - you're left playing The Fat Man's game of where did the speeds finish? How did the closers fair? etc. Which is certainly fine in a typical type of race - but can sometimes be misleading in a race like this. |

In addition to that, anyone who has anything bad to say about the Comely and/or Bay Shore is an idiot. They are both very nice races for G3s worth 150-200k.
This is truly a card that's a breath of fresh air after a long winter. Those that have anything bad to say about it either, haven't been playing Aqu all winter, or simply b.itch about everything. |

For $7,500 claimers the purses are very good, >$25k, the fields are full and competitive. Place your bets. If Surfing Ian is on his game he stands out.

Motion does well when adding blinkers. He's the deserving 2nd choice.

I think the Carter is going to be a really interesting betting race, alot of horses that could win that one.
