The Oaks-Derby Double might pay more handsomely than normal.

Damn shame, hope she recovers, was shaping up to be a nice battle I thought.
Also a shame as I hoped she would take more $ than Joyful Victory.

Not much detail on the injury, just that they found some heat.

I thought she was going to burn some money Friday.

She was pretty darn good for two races. She was OK last year....but exploded in her last two. Sorry, but there's a pattern here.

No kidding huh? How many of his top horses have developed injuries the first week in May/last week in April?

Pretty sad that the reason you are disappointed a good horse is not running because of an injury is cause you were going to bet against her.

I really don't think he said anything wrong. I want to believe that all of us are fans first and gamblers second in wanting nothing but the best for the horses running. That being said, the guy had a heavy opinion on betting against her in a big spot when she was going to take a lot of money. Now that opportunity has evaporated.

Hey Knicks nothing personal against the horse and if you look at any my old posts you will see that i am one of the first ones to feel bad when a horse gets hurt. I was simply saying that i did not think she was going to win and that since she may have been the favorite would have been a good bet against. Of course it is sad when any horse gets injured but it doesn't sound like it is life threatening and if it is the end of her racing days im sure she will be fine. Once again, nothing personal and not trying to be ugly just thought that she would be very low odds and would be a good chance to get a good priced winner.

No problem my friend. Sorry about the post. I'm crabby today. Work sux, the weather sux and am disappointed cause I really was looking forward to this horse running. A few beers after work will cure it
