Default Tell me this is some kind of joke

The proposition bet is: Will the winner of the main event of the World Series of Poker be born before 1985? (like 25 years old or younger)

And the youngsters are favored to win on the prop!

Isn't there like a 10K buy-in? And the freaking kids are still favored in an old-time cigerette smokers game that involves no physical ability?

Even funnier - a female is only a slight underdog to finish in the top 40!? Incredible! I would have guessed 'no female finishes in the top 40' about a 10/1 favorite and 10/1 would be stealing.

That "sport" has bascially been overrun by Mountain Dew guzzling bubble gum chewers. Kids dominate it.

Oops - prior to would mean older - so the kiddies in the 21-to-26 age group are a slight underdog.

What is really incredible is that, in a departure from your usual " look at me, I'm so smart " thread, you have started a " look at me, I'm proud of my ignorance " thread.

Congratulations. This is a real breakthrough for you.

When have I ever pretended to be smart?

Poker has become a game for little children.

I don't play poker.

That's like saying the leading scorer for the 9th grade soccer team could dribble balls around me.

If you followed poker even a little you would know the ability of the young guns compared to their dinosaur counterparts. It's not the same game anymore.

Sounds like you caught a bad beat from a babyface somewhere along the line... you do realize if racing got the influx of young players poker did you would be singing a different tune.

Jealous of pokers youth or just jealous of youth in general?

At least the crypt keeper doesn't wear his hat backwards like a douchebag.

Speaking of which - my little brother scored a huge victory in court this week:

Yeah, and he plays poker.

The odds appear quite in line with historical trends since the tournament grew post Chris Moneymaker.
