# HORSE JOCKEY TRAINER Comments
1 Birdrun ML: 7-2 J. Velazquez 126 Lbs B.Mott Is a consistent galloper that usually runs his race. I think his morning line is a little low for me. Not for me on the win end.
2 Baryshnikov M. Smith M. Maker I'm not sure he really wants this much distance. Has never won on plin dirt either. Pass.
ML: 12-1 126 Lbs
3 Meeznah T. Queally D. Lanigan Has breeding to say she will act just fine on dirt. I really like her chances to do well. She is a marathoner for sure and her morning line is way too high. INCLUDE for SURE!
ML: 12-1 123 Lbs
4 Pleasant Prince J. Rosario W. Ward I cant totally eliminate this one. He was really impressive in his last and possibly could outrun his odds also.
ML: 12-1 126 Lbs
5 Giant Oak S. Bridgmohan C. Block Never been a fan of his and I feel like this is too long for him. His low price is nothing to like either. PASS
ML: 9-2 126 Lbs
6 Brigantin J. Leparoux A. Fabre A true Euro stayer here but looks one paced! Interestingly, he does get Leparoux. Cannot dismiss.
ML: 8-1 126 Lbs
7 Harrison's Cave (GB) R. Moore A. O'Brien Looks a cut below these for a figure standpoint. Nothing to really entice me here.
ML: 30-1 122 Lbs
8 Afleet Again C. Velasquez R. Reid, Jr. Lots of his common foes here have repeatedly drubbed him! No thank you.
ML: 30-1 126 Lbs
9 Cease G. Gomez A. Stall, Jr. Here is the horse I think will flourish greatly at this distance. I think they employ the right jock to get him to relax early just off the pace and then kick home strongly. My choice for success.
ML: 6-1 126 Lbs
10 Eldaafer J. Castellano D. Alvarado Defending champ in his race looks like he may be rounding back into form. Might outrun his odds again.
ML: 10-1 126 Lbs
11 A. U. Miner C. Borel C. Hanna Look like a real threat for all the marbles in here and would have been very close to winning this race last year without the tremendous amount of bumping he incurred around the far turn. Like to make a wide sweeping move so the post should be ideal.

1 Gung Ho M. Smith M. Maker Scratched
ML: 20-1 122 Lbs
2 Fantastic Song J. Castellano C. Brown Looked ok in both starts and his connections are to be respected. Very well bred colt could offer a bit of a price. Include lightly.
ML: 2-1 122 Lbs
3 Shkspeare Shaliyah A. Solis D. Shivmangal Has won well in his last two starts and has impressed in the mornings! His last race is common to a a couple of these and was ran in very slow time. Not sure what to make of him.
ML: 15-1 122 Lbs
4 Farraaj (IRE) N. Callan R. Varian Quickly developing invader but he appears too cheap for these.
ML: 15-1 122 Lbs
5 Wrote (IRE) R. Moore A. O'Brien Has attracted lots of attention for some big name handicappers. His morning line is too high and will definitely come down. Top class connection and 1st time Ryan Moore can only help! Possible!!
ML: 12-1 122 Lbs
6 Coalport J. Alvarado W. Catalano Was good last time in a good effort at KEE. His trainer knows how to win races but he seems a tad light in the class corner.
ML: 15-1 122 Lbs
7 Caspar Netscher (GB) K. Fallon A. McCabe This is the Euro that has the most class but is suspect at this distance. Small time trainer along with the fact that this guy makes his 10th start of the seaon don’t really inspire my confidence.
ML: 6-1 122 Lbs
8 Majestic City G. Gomez P. Miller Interesting that they chose this spot for him but he might be on top of a slow pace. His work on the turf was not impressive so there are mixed signals. Using tepidly.
ML: 4-1 122 Lbs
9 Daddy Nose Best J. Leparoux S. Asmussen The sire of this horse has been on fire all year long. Was wide at Wo in his latest and that’s not the place to be. Long odds expected on super connections.
ML: 30-1 122 Lbs
10 Animal Spirits R. Albarado A. Stall, Jr. This guy has a nice late kick. He avoided trouble at KEE when the leader jumped the rail in deep stretch and showed he is progressing nicely. Has been impressive in the mornings in prep for this!! My top Choice!!
ML: 8-1 122 Lbs
11 Excaper E. Wilson I. Black Really tough to see this guy winning for low profile Canadian connections.
ML: 30-1 122 Lbs
12 Lucky Chappy (IRE) J. Rosario H. Motion Missed the break in his last and showed a good kick to come home 3rd. Several common foes in here but he may be just as good as them. Wide draw is a drawback!
ML: 10-1 122 Lbs
13 Finale J. Velazquez T. Pletcher Has looked good in preparation for this. But with low odds and a wide draw add up to me not using this guy.
ML: 5-1 122 Lbs
14 State of Play R. Dominguez H. Motion This dude posesses a world of talent and is likely to be placed forwardly due to the terrible draw. To me, he has the most room for upside of all the widely drawn horses. Oozes talent and will need all of it from out here. Using.
ML: 5-1 122 Lbs
15 Tequila Factor R. Bejarano W. Catalano Not sure that BC race has ever been won by a horse that prepped at Retama and I doubt this one will be the first. NO!

1 Euroears R. Bejarano B. Baffert Has sizzled in preparation for this and he will go immediately to the front in here, provided he breaks well. No choice but to go from the rail but he is lightning fast and loves to free run. Catch him to cash!!
ML: 4-1 126 Lbs
2 Giant Ryan C. Velasquez B. Parboo Has won a few races that I did not think he could. I'm against him in here again. These connections can beat me in the BC.
ML: 8-1 126 Lbs
3 Aikenite J. Castellano T. Pletcher Left a bitter taste in my mouth after just nipping me last time he raced at CD. Unless there is a complete and total meltdown on the front end, he cant win here.
ML: 8-1 126 Lbs
4 Hamazing Destiny R. Albarado D. Lukas Was my choice in this race a year ago and ran a fast closing 2nd at 23-1. Lukas uses his go to jock and I cant count him out. Loves this track!!
ML: 10-1 126 Lbs
5 Jackson Bend C. Nakatani N. Zito Connections are looking for an Eclipse Award for Sprinter if he can win here. His record around one turn is impeccable and he will surely be closing at the end. INCLUDE!
ML: 7-2 126 Lbs
6 Force Freeze J. Velazquez P. Walder Should get a great trip sitting just off the speed. Many believe he is a different horse on Lasix and that may be so, but still has a lot to prove.
ML: 10-1 126 Lbs
7 Amazombie M. Smith W. Spawr Always runs his race. He can track from midpack and attack on the far turn. His figs are on the improve again! Using.
ML: 5-1 126 Lbs
8 Big Drama R. Dominguez D. Fawkes Not quite sure what to think of this years defense preparations. While he has won both of his starts, he beat nothing and was not battle tested. He will face more pace pressure this time than last. May cave if collared early. Playing against.
ML: 5-2 126 Lbs
9 Apriority J. Rosario D. Fawkes This horse is the X factor to me. He has had foot troubles for most of the year and the trainer ensures that those are now behind him. I line out his last two because of the off track and see a horse that can surely compete in here…BOMBS AWAY…yessssss!!

1 Grand Adventure J. Castellano M. Frostad Canadian invader has and usualy does come up short at this distance. I have played in the past but not for me today.
ML: 20-1 126 Lbs
2 Holiday for Kitten J. Rosario W. Ward Is a filly vs theboys. I cant see here being up to the task!
ML: 30-1 121 Lbs
3 Broken Dreams G. Gomez T. Proctor Another mare in against the boys. She always runs a solid race, coming fast in the end but today she appears in deep water.
ML: 20-1 123 Lbs
4 Perfect Officer K. Carmouche M. Pino Certainoly not disgraced against this kind in his last 2 starts. Hard to see these connections winning a BC, but cant eliminate from underneath contention.
ML: 12-1 126 Lbs
5 Great Attack J. Sanchez W. Ward Had to need his last one, his first in 6 mos. Tired as expect. His 2 figures before that are very competitive here and his works have been maintenance type. Look for him to outrun his odds for sure.
ML: 20-1 126 Lbs
6 California Flag P. Valenzuela B. Koriner Finally got back to the winners circle in his las. While he is a venerable veteran. He stands little chance in here.
ML: 15-1 126 Lbs
7 Hoofit (NZ) E. Prado H. Motion Cannot endorse this guy. He is simply not fast enough!
ML: 15-1 126 Lbs
8 Regally Ready C. Nakatani S. Asmussen Wowed by his effort last out in Canada. Loves CD! Will face considerably more pace pressure here. Underlay?? I think so.
ML: 3-1 126 Lbs
9 Rapport B. Hernandez, Jr. R. Werner Nothing to inspire any confidence. Speed and fade!
ML: 30-1 123 Lbs
10 Havelock R. Albarado D. Miller Had another gear over at Kee and was impressive. Needs a clean trip here to get thru all the traffic in here. Perfect rider to fit the bill here. INCLUDE!
ML: 9-2 126 Lbs
11 Country Day J. Graham S. Margolis I played this one last time, was not threat to the winner above. I like the connections, but I will not be as much on board this time. I will use in some pk3's.
ML: 20-1 126 Lbs
12 Camp Victory J. Leparoux M. Mitchell To me, it's difficult to fall in love with this guy. He usually gives his best but I doubt it will be good enough from this wide barrier.
ML: 12-1 126 Lbs
13 Caracortado J. Talamo M. Machowsky I would have picked him in here but this post scares me at the abbreviated distance. This horse has a tremendous turn of foot so it could be that he could overcome a lot.
ML: 4-1 126 Lbs
14 Chamberlain Bridge J. Theriot W. Calhoun Sparkled in his morning preps for this but his wide draw is enough for me to draw a line thru him. Not for me on the win end!

1 The Factor M. Garcia B. Baffert Was hounded thru extreme factions in the last effort. He will certainly need to gun out from the rail and will get a softer pace to set. My gut tells me that he might fold late here. Just a guess!!
ML: 7-2 123 Lbs
2 Shackleford J. Castanon D. Romans Apparently he is training super. I have never been a believer in this one and he will have to prove it to me still.
ML: 7-2 123 Lbs
3 Tapizar G. Gomez S. Asmussen Came back from a knee chip in sparkling fashion in his last. Adss more speed to the equation. Who knows if he can rate. Not sure!
ML: 20-1 123 Lbs
4 Tres Borrachos J. Rosario M. Jones Reportedly will be running from way off the pace here and if there is a meltdon, he can hit the super! Just highly unlikely to win!
ML: 30-1 126 Lbs
5 Wilburn J. Leparoux S. Asmussen This horse has really progressed lately and has moved forward 3 straight races. Can sit midpack and have Go in the lane. Using!!
ML: 4-1 123 Lbs
6 Irrefutable R. Bejarano B. Baffert Not sure why he is entered here but it's Baffert. Not for me!
ML: 12-1 126 Lbs
7 Jersey Town C. Velasquez B. Tagg A nice sort here but again he is in real tough!
ML: 15-1 126 Lbs
8 Caleb's Posse R. Maragh D. Von Hemel Appears to be a decent amount of pace to set this one up. His kick has already beaten Uncle Mo so I say CAN DO!!! ONE OF MY BEST PLAYS OF THE WEEKEND!!!
ML: 5-1 123 Lbs
9 Trappe Shot J. Velazquez K. McLaughlin Should be very solid in here and his figures are very good. He can sit closer to the pace than Claeb and may get first run. Beat him to win!!

1 St Nicholas Abbey (IRE) J. O'Brien A. O'Brien My least favorite of the Euros in here. Just feel there is more talent in here than him. I would want way more odds on him.
ML: 9-2 126 Lbs
2 Sarafina (FR) C. Lemaire A. De Royer-Dupre This mare is an iron horse. Gotta love her explosive late kick. The one to beat here.
ML: 5-2 123 Lbs
3 Dean's Kitten R. Dominguez M. Maker The best of the home team is right here, still appears a notch below these super Euros!
ML: 10-1 126 Lbs
4 Stately Victor M. Smith M. Maker Cant play!
ML: 30-1 126 Lbs
5 Teaks North J. Castellano J. Sallusto Monmouth specialist only!!
ML: 20-1 126 Lbs
6 Await the Dawn J. Leparoux A. O'Brien Has reportedly been seriously ill after him last race!! On his best day he could win but I cant hardly think he is 100%.
ML: 7-2 126 Lbs
7 Sea Moon (GB) R. Moore S. Stoute Has yet to face these in Europe but he appears to be the up and comer for sure. He was miles best in the last race in which he was never free until very late. I'm gonna play him on top because of his likelihood to be 3rd choice in here. Lights out performance is expected!!!
ML: 4-1 122 Lbs
8 Brilliant Speed J. Velazquez T. Albertrani Can't see him threatening some of the best in the world!
ML: 20-1 122 Lbs
9 Midday (GB) T. Queally H. Cecil Has to be considered a player here on her best. World class mare still loks 3rd best to me. Cant totally dismiss from a win!

1 Take Charge Indy J. Graham P. Byrne I like the connections but the horse seems suspect in this field. No thanks!
ML: 30-1 122 Lbs
2 Dullahan K. Desormeaux D. Romans Has steadily improved in each and every race. His dirt races were unimpressive and that also might have been due to the short distance. I'm on the fence with this guy.
ML: 8-1 122 Lbs
3 Crusade J. Leparoux A. O'Brien Has dirt breeding and is stretching out in here. Interesting that O'Brien uses Julien here. I'm still not convinced.
ML: 12-1 122 Lbs
4 Drill M. Garcia B. Baffert Worked awesome for Baffert in his last work out of blinkers and is scheduled to run with blinkers also. He has grow up potential and should show his best effort here. Baffert still loves this guy!!
ML: 8-1 122 Lbs
5 Hansen R. Dominguez M. Maker Has shown speed and kept on going impressively in both of his starts to date and will like be on the lead once again. This is his first step into deeper water so I would tread lightly.
ML: 10-1 122 Lbs
6 Prospective L. Contreras M. Casse Has reaportedly really taken to dirt, but he will have had to make up at least ten lengths. I don't see it here. This is a deep field.
ML: 30-1 122 Lbs
7 Creative Cause J. Rosario M. Harrington Was not ovely impressed by his latest work but he is reportedly lazy in the morning. His win was dominant in last. Got kicked by the pony horse earlier in the week so his luck may have run out. Bad signals on this one.
ML: 7-2 122 Lbs
8 Speightscity C. Nakatani G. Contessa Crushed Maidens by almost 12 in his second start. He lacks seasoning in a big way. Probably find the water way too deep!
ML: 20-1 122 Lbs
9 Alpha G. Gomez K. McLaughlin Was soundly beaten when second to "rags" but kinda get the feeling that he has some potential to improve here. Willing to take a swing at anything near his morning line!!
ML: 15-1 122 Lbs
10 Union Rags J. Castellano M. Matz The beast of the east won super impressively in his last with trouble. Surely he will be tough in here too. Low price but deservedly so.
ML: 2-1 122 Lbs
11 Daddy Long Legs R. Moore A. O'Brien The one Euro that could possibly threaten these. Looks like he has some speed to stay close and has proven himself going a mile. Price shot.
ML: 12-1 122 Lbs
12 Fort Loudon L. Jurado S. Gold Has impressed his morning observers and has won his last 4 at Calder. The Calder shippers have done well at CD last year and even yesterday. This seems like a stretch to me. Maybe underneath in the exotics.
ML: 20-1 122 Lbs
13 Optimizer R. Albarado D. Lukas Venerable connections drew terrible in here. Lukas says this is a much better colt on dirt than turf and that he wanted to get distance races into him. Sounds like a lot of hot air to me. Would need better than his best from this post.

1 Goldikova (IRE) O. Peslier F. Head No matter what happens in this race, this mare will be immortally remembered for her heroics in the BC. Doubt that we will ever again see a horse even attempt to win the same race 4 times in a row. With all the accolades she deserves, she has a huge shot to defend her title here. It's been well publicized that the Milers this year in Europe are some of the finest ever. Her rating are better than ever and expect her to lat closer to the pace from the rail slot. Just win baby!!!
ML: 7-5 123 Lbs
2 Zoffany (IRE) R. Moore A. O'Brien Was supremely disappointing in his stateside debut. Not sure what happened but he never threatened in a dull effort.
ML: 20-1 123 Lbs
3 Courageous Cat P. Valenzuela W. Mott Has been on top of his game all year long. Fights as gamely as they come. Was really unlucky not to win his last and should be thought of as a threat to the queen.
ML: 8-1 126 Lbs
4 Mr. Commons M. Smith J. Shirreffs Have been high on this guy since day one. He is still learn and may still be just a cut below these. At only 3yo, the sky is the limit for this guy.
ML: 20-1 123 Lbs
5 Gio Ponti R. Dominguez C. Clement Seems like the Energizer Bunny. He just keeps on going and going. His prep for this was good as usual. He is getting long in the tooth too but still must be respected as a top American threat in here. Clement's only BC runner.
ML: 4-1 126 Lbs
6 Get Stormy G. Gomez T. Bush Should be placed near the lead if not on it. His workouts here have been fabulous, but still these are the best in the world!
ML: 15-1 126 Lbs
7 Jeranimo M. Garcia M. Pender I respect this dude in certain spots in CA but just cant see him threatening these.
ML: 20-1 126 Lbs
8 Byword (GB) M. Guyon A. Fabre According to the Euro observers, this gut is simply not fast enough to compete in here. This has not been Juddmonte's year at the BC.
ML: 12-1 126 Lbs
9 Court Vision R. Albarado D. Romans I bet this guy a couple years ago when he was in this very race at SA. Nothing lately to inspire confidence in winning.
ML: 30-1 126 Lbs
10 Sidney's Candy J. Velazquez T. Pletcher Is totally in over his head despite connections!
ML: 15-1 126 Lbs
11 Strong Suit R. Hughes R. Hannon Here is a guy that has potential to upset everyone in here. He is well backed in Europe to make some noise. Has looked very excellent on the track in his morning gallops. USE for sure!
ML: 10-1 123 Lbs
12 Compliance Officer A. Solis B. Brown I know this guy has been facing state bred company but his figures fit here…If there is to be a bomber in here, mabye he is your guy!!
ML: 30-1 126 Lbs
13 Turallure J. Leparoux C. Lopresti Julien was apparently highest on him of any of his breeders Cup mounts and its easy to see why. His last effort was scintillating after being trapped and exploding late. I was his post was better, but his on run style may be able to offset that. USE!

1 Prayer for Relief R. Bejarano B. Baffert Scratched
ML: 30-1 122 Lbs
2 Flat Out A. Solis C. Dickey Has really impressed the clockers in the morning as one of the finest workers of the week. His record here at CD leaves lots to be desired. Mixed signals, but the good workers from yesterdays card ran well so I must include.
ML: 6-1 126 Lbs
3 Drosselmeyer M. Smith W. Mott Has been beaten by many of these before but his form cycle is on the upswing. Still tough to see him winning.
ML: 15-1 126 Lbs
4 Ruler On Ice G. Gomez K. Breen Not an impossible Longshot in here. His effort in the PA Derby is way better than looked. Garrett is hoping for a fast pace in here, and may make the last run. Include.
ML: 30-1 122 Lbs
5 So You Think (NZ) R. Moore A. O'Brien The euro beast looks talented, but on further examination, his speed at the end of his races has left something to be desired. He is a champion though, I really don’t like the fact that the connections are adding blinkers. Makes me think he will have trouble showing American type speed. Inclined to pass.
ML: 5-1 126 Lbs
6 Ice Box C. Nakatani N. Zito Not sure why he is entered here!
ML: 30-1 126 Lbs
7 Rattlesnake Bridge C. Borel K. McLaughlin Is an improving and late maturing 3yo. His numbers are on the upswing but he will need a miacle to win this. Borel has won a few races here in the past!
ML: 30-1 122 Lbs
8 Game On Dude C. Sutherland B. Baffert Speed to burn here and look like a beast in his latest workout in CA. Is a fit animal for this and will take some catching. His last effort was an insane speed duel in which he had no business being around at the finish line , yet he found more to win. Doubt he will have to run quite as quick early. My choice in spite of Chantal.
ML: 10-1 126 Lbs
9 Stay Thirsty J. Castellano T. Pletcher I actually like him better than stablemate MO and expect him to give a good account of himself…his record here on this track is not good so im not a fan of a win in here.
ML: 12-1 122 Lbs
10 Havre de Grace R. Dominguez J. Jones This mare is good but I cant say she is great yet. Here preps for this have been only ok. That being said, she should get a great trip tracking the speed and make first run on the deeper closers. I guess you gotta use.
ML: 3-1 123 Lbs
11 Headache P. Lopez M. Maker Has been a cut below these and would want a big front end duel to set up hus kick. He has 3 wins over the suface against much lesser. Would be a surprise.
ML: 30-1 126 Lbs
12 Uncle Mo J. Velazquez T. Pletcher His talent is unquestionable but his path to this point is for sure. He is a tremendous miler but can he get this distance off of only 2 preps around one turn. He will face extreme pace pressure and his big mname will lead to a low price. Unproven at this distance. Not sure what to make of him but siding against at the betting windows.
ML: 5-2 122 Lbs
13 To Honor and Serve J. Lezcano W. Mott Was well thought of early in the year and as a 2yo. He is coming into his own and will get a stalking, possibly wide trip from this post. I would have liked him better from an inside draw but I guess this helps his price. Any further improvement and I count him in.
