Cocky!?

I'm already planning the championship par-tay!

I always found it quite amusing one of the NBA annual leaders in 3 point attempts was well down the list in 3 pointers made pct.

It's like stealing 36 bases................in 72 attempts.

Lowenstein did that trick for us one year.

3rd string guy?

I believe it's Daffy Duck...pretty sure.3rd string only because everyone has a hard time understanding his calls.
curiosity got the best of me and I had to look it up...

He's from that Duke football factory. Maybe it's just Kyrie Irving under an alias.

OH my God, hilarious...he was a mainstay when I started following the Tribe...just out of curiosity I had to look that up too. You are too mean....he stole 36 out of 53, then followed up with 15 out of 25, then 11 out of 19, then his last year with the Tribe was successful in 1 out of 9 attempts!!!

He left the Tribe and their outstanding coaching and his next two years stole 16 out of 19 with the Rangers --then 16 out of 20 with the Orioles.

It is impossible to make up this Cleveland sports stuff, no one could do better than what reality actually is.

Cleveland sports...it simply never ends...thus we document.

You know what..I challenge that historical record. I swear it was 36 of 72.

But either way, it does paint a picture.

You are so right..Tribe History; a trip down I want to forget lane.

Wow..you're good.

He certainly was.

But that one year...Cory Snyder and Joe Carter. They had a contest on who would swing at more down and away pitches....and only misses counted.Which pretty much was all the time.

Carter got out of that nasty habit;Snyder never did.

...and that haul from the Rangers in the Julio Franco trade...

guvner Jerry Browne

Oddibbideee McDowell

Pete O'Brien

...and that Eck deal...Oh my God, was it Ted Cox, Mike Paxton, Fred Kendall??

AT least we've got Obaldo, he'll figure out what was wrong last year, I know it.

Nope, was wrong--Kendall went with Eck. We also got Bo Diaz and Rick Wise along with Cox and Paxton. So it was actually a really good trade for us! We rolled on the benefits of that trade for years.

I'm gonna have to ask this ddtide about this Alonzo Gee fellah....he's 6th man of the year in the NBA right now. I'm not sure if anyone actually follows Alabama basketball however like they do football. So he may not know. AT 2 is undefeated in 2012, that's all I know. This Tribe history is depressing. Lowenstein and Spikes were part of a great outfield together though.

No, but Leon was a superstar by Tribe standards.

Mike at short made Tony Martinez(less than one and done) look really, really good.

Maybe the Canadian guy is our next Chosen One.

Man.

That's an odd one.Wonder what happened.

Since you mention Horton..that was a very sorrowful story. We got him from Boston and he was really looking good.I think in his first full season he hit like around .290,27 home runs and 93 rbi's.The downside ... he had a very demanding Father and he never felt like he was doing enough.I heard he try to cut his throat. The Indians only said he was retiring due to mental stress.

It came out later he tried to kill himself.Last I knew he was living with his parents in So.Cal.

He slit his wrists is what I read in "curse of colavito" That was it, never played again. Was only 25. He's still alive, someone went to try to interview him and he said "about sports" and shut the door in his face. That picture is him crawling back to the dugout after popping out on an eephus pitch from Steve Hamilton of the Yankees. Although he appeared to be joking about it, he was furious as the guy threw him 3 of them. Read the guy actually took batting practice until his hands bled. Had talent out the wazoo and Ted Williams loved his swing when he was with the Sox, but as you said mentally couldn't deal with it.
