The Catholic church (in the US) has been ordaining gay priests for over 50 years. It seems the pontiff believes being gay is a sin one must ask forgiveness for?
If only the pope could be non-judgmental regarding abortion he'd really be on to something. His decision to not ordain women I think is based on religious doctrine rather than chauvinism but that's just my opinion. |

You can be celibate and make the choice to refrain from having sex but still have sexual orientation toward your own (or the opposite) sex.
