Rogers strong over last 90 days including opening day 10-1 winner and cheapish Too Wild for Words wires with repeat of last; Gung Ho goes first time for tag for win-crazy Ramsey Team; Domenosky does a nice job and Space Traveler had nice summer at AP, but Chicago visitors had weak first week here; Consistent Bergerac was OK over synthetics earlier in career and is a square 5-1 off KD score; Kinmon doesn't win often but Thunder Affair drops down, cuts back and reunites with Bridgmo who placed with him behind Bernie the Maestro (!) in spring. 15-1? That's me..

Wide open baby lawn event made more challenging by fact that those with experience mostly want front end. Several exit races that have produced quality including Cov (3rd to Medal Count), Mister Blues (5th to Kendall's Boy), Mygalsal (2nd to Poker Player), Tropic of Artie (5th behind My Conquestadory), etc. Larry Jones sends More Than Ready firster Kilted Cowboy for Calumet, Casse bows Endurable (Spring at Last) for Jack Oxley and Maker-Ramsey offer Perky Kitten..

Most Likely: #4 Cov 8-1 10th
Best Value: #6 Raging Market 12-1 11th
Next Best: #8 Mygalsal 7-2 WON ($10.00)

THX Dave.. Peytonville, whom I pushed on ATR when Jock Agent Jeff called about Niederzel, helped ease the pain. But it was a day that had potential to be really good.

I frequently try to single like that in difficult races if there's a horse I can conceive having an edge. As it turned out, Kitten Kaboodle was the right single.
