I can imagine people leaving wanting a souvenir, but did they think everything was just gonna get bulldozed so why not take whatever they wanted? I hope that woman gets her sister's portrait back. Someone posted a comment in that article that said they saw people grabbing things off the walls, no security in site. They couldn't be everywhere but a situation like this was predictable. Preventable is another matter.
