GL! Hope you had the 9...I'm in the running for 5/6 as I didn't have the 10 in the first leg but have gotten the last two.

Spa 9

I really like the 1, but considering the money she is taking and the fact that she may have to duel with Close Hatches, I am looking for a mid-pack horse here. I think Fiftyshadesofhay is nice value on the board, going to take a stab at the price.

$20W 4
$5EXB 1,4

I realize she was flying up front, but to leave her alone regardless of the pace is suicidal and moronic. $500k race and you're just giving it away.

Pointman, I have to agree here. I waited all day for Antipathy in that Personal Ensign race as I did not like Princess of Sylmar's race in Delaware (nor did I like Belle Gallantey) - the blinkers convinced me that something was wrong.

So, for me, it came down to Antipathy versus Close Hatches and going 9f in the mud, I really loved Antipathy. When Irad let Joel go on the clubhouse turn, I already knew that she was going to be no better than second. Even with the strong first half, Close Hatches was rolling in the lane.

Did you see Rosario on the MSG broadcast? He did not have a speck of mud on him - he rode the horse like she was the best.

I just don't get it, I initially wanted to bet Antipathy but was afraid she would become everyone's wiseguy horse. The more I looked at the race, the more I was worried that she could end up dueling with Close Hatches to set it up for Fiftyshadesofhay, considering that Antipathy was bet down to 3-1 and Fiftyshades was 15-1, I had to take a shot at the latter.

But what I could not envision was taking Antipathy back. As you said, by doing that they are just conceding the race. There are certain situations where I understand doing that, but this was not one of them. If they weren't going to use her speed, why run her? The result was predicable and they got just what they asked for by doing what they did.

The race goes as planned and 1 uses his inside position. 4 runs them down and we are both laughing in the money. That's racing though...
