Ninetoone,
Check out the Derby Trail Cookbook in esoteric. I put a good meatloaf recipe there, also a good dessert, (sour cream apple pie).
Maybe Steve's is similar. I hope he posts his there.
Also...if you have requests...say so.

When I was in Saratoga I ate at the Packhorse. They served the best Eggs Benidect that I have ever had. But then again, maybe I was so happy to be in Saratoga, I would have said the same thing about Spam Benidect!

I like it alright but it's always too packed for me to get in and out. Plus Stubby's is closer to the Track and easier for me to get out onto the bypass.

Cardus,
I put a jambaylya recipe in the Derby Trail Cookbook (esoteric).
There are may variations. Try crawfish, duck, or a variety of other ingredients. It's plenty simple to make, as long as you don't rush it.
I like extra andoille in mine. Also some bacon.

Two of the best breakfasts i've ever had.

1.Jasols on Jewel Avenue and Main St. here in Queens no longer in business.Guy hadn't cleaned the grill in 30 years but the eggs and hash browns were too die for.
2.A truck stop just past the Canadian border on the way to Montreal. The crepes were like butter and syrup was not required.
Deli sandwich has to be Harolds in the Raritan Plaza in New Jersey just before getting on the outerbridge to Staten Island.$13 gets you a quality sandwich that will take you 3 days to eat.

by the way guys, I had a cowboy burger at Food For Thought this weekend. YUMMY! I ate only 3/4 of it. My husband had to finish the rest of it.
