![]() Not getting much attention maybe because the Justice System or lack of it is to blame.
http://www.baynews9.com/content/news...ngs_polic.html Had the media delved just a bit more into public databases they would have realized the cop-killer, who according to the story, has 30 felony arrests, 15 misdemeanor arrests and had done jail time they would have revealed the cop-killer had been sentenced to three years for 11 felonies, committed over a 2 year period, on five separate occasions: Quote:
So there you go, a 36 month sentence for 11 felonies or 90 days for each. Real tough on crime. ![]() Was curious about the background of the cop-killer's intended target identified in the story as Jareem Roach and found he was released from prison on July 5 of this year after serving a term beginning 3/2/10 or four years and four months for: Quote:
So while Roach was sentenced to a total of 16 years he did a quarter of that because the Judge ordered the sentences be served concurrent. Had he done the time he was sentenced to consecutively he'd be no problem to society until the mid 2020's. The Justice System and in particular the Judges and Prosecutors involved in these cases have to bear some of the blame in the senseless killing of Officer Kondek. |
