Importing Foreign Horses

Working in a project and was wondering if I could tap into this community's vast reservoir of knowledge, for those that follow international racing closely:

1) Inspired by Aussie turf sprinter import Power Alert at SA last weekend, what TYPES of international horses do you think would do well over here on the California, Florida, or NE circuit (esp PA and ON)? Milers from France? Routers from Germany.

2) What Owner/trainer combinations do you consider the best in Europe and ANZ, S Africa?

3) What underrated foreign sire line would you like to see introduced to US breeding programs.

4) Any other tips about importing foreign horses would be appreciated if you have any experience with it.
