New DMSO rules
http://www.drf.com/news/new-york-all...claiming-rules
Not a chemist but the way DMSO is absorbed into the body how are they going to tell whether it was adminstered topically or intravenously? For those who don't know DMSO is a by-product of the wood industry which is used as an anti-inflammatory and has the ability when mixed with other drugs to help them penetrate deeper into the body. Leaves a strong lingering garlic taste that some people like me can't stand. You would mix it in with other linaments as a leg rub or or as intravenous jug a couple of days out before a race. Back in the 70's it was dirt cheap until a 60 minutes episode and popularity caused the price to quadruple. http://www.dmso.org/articles/information/muir.htm |
