Default Breeder's Cup

Well, my post mortem on the BC is that, I'm guessing that none of us made our fortune, but it was still a great day of racing. I don't think there were many absolute blow-outs. Most of the races seemed to be pretty close at the finish by a nose or a neck or at most a couple of lengths. I'm always hoping that I learned something. Not sure what I learned this year, but maybe it was that I should play a few more horizontal bets in the future. I did hit one of these, but still could have played it better. That always seems to be the case. Whatever you do, you could have done it better. Anyway, my final analysis is that it was still a thoroughly enjoyable day even though the handicapping of it reminded me of that old commercial on TV in which they put the egg in the frying pan and a voice says "this is your brain on drugs."
