ROI Results 8/12 @ Colonial Downs

For a track we don't play very often it was a strong handicapping effort. And by "not often" it
could be "not ever". But the almost all turf card agreed with a lot of players with 6 winning
bets recorded by 6 different players. Don and Cal visited the cashiers window but failed to
break the profit line. Joly B finished 4th with a $34 ticket in race 7 and collected a $73
profit. Real Quiet took 3rd with a nice paying exacta in the 10th. The payout of $63.70 was
hit 5 times for a $218 profit on the day. But the big hits were yet to be recorded. Gigantic
payouts came on Gigante in the 8th. Both Ruffian and Cruzan put their cash on his nose
and the $47.80 mutuel led to some nice returns. Ruff put an extra $5 on Gigante's nose and
as a result she gets her back to back ROI win. Cruzan finished a strong second with a profit
of $522 but Ruff gets the win with an overall profit of $617, the 4th best return of the year.
Stellar picks by both Ruffian and Cruzan. Nicely played by the dynamic duo. Two weeks
ago Ruff was mired in a slump of all slumps. Down almost $3000 Ruff now goes for a three
peat and while far back we have all heard of Silky Sullivan. Following are the unofficial
results pending a red card issued to the scorer. Personally I'm rooting for the Matilda's.
