One more question, what are the major stories that this is distracting us from?
Isn't leaking a secret spying program a major story. I remember the Dem's were going gaga about leaks when they thought Dick Cheney leaked the identity of Valerie Plame and there was hardly any national significance to that leak. That story went on for years and had a special prosecutor I believe.

For the record I think any and all leakers should be invetigated and prosecuted no matter the party.
