You're telling me there's not a 'going once, going twice..' where they could've just gone 'oy! tryin' to put in a bid here!' I mean there's a time for subtle strategy but geez.
As I understand it, they thought they had the high bid. So when it was "Going once, going twice..." they thought they were sitting pretty with the highest bid.
