The two AP Indy fillies out of young stakes winning mares selling for 65K and *90k (this was a public buyback of sorts as was bought by one of the breeders on a probable foal share deal) early in sale sale (hips 7 & 10) should have been enough to put everyone on notice. It is an extreme buyers market. The barns have been dead the entire sale. I looked at my entire list of book 1 horses in 3 hours Sat am simply because there was rarely anyone else in front of me. We went to the Eaton consignment after lunch today to finish up Wednsedays horses and there was literally no one else there. At 1:15 on Monday, there was virtually no one at one of the biggest outfits there. That says a lot. I know that the pinhookers are very weak this year (the vast majority of the missing FL vets work for pinhookers) but outside of the usual players there was no activity. A lot of the horses today were bought by foreign outfits. Even guys like Mike Ryan who buy a lot of horses were not very active.
