Default Interesting FTS Saturday at HP

In the fourth race is a Baffert FTS named Marker Down out of the very swift mare Visible Slew.

For those that don't know who she was, she had six lifetime starts, with her debut being a sprint in which she did nothing.

Stretched out for her second start, and all subsequent starts, she won 3 of those 5 races by 8 lengths, 9 lengths and 13 lengths (her MSW). All were run with her setting very quick paces with very nice final times. Her Nwot1x she actually got a 111 BSF.

Her two losses at a route of ground were in grade 2s. In the first one, she was 1.5 lengths off a 45.3 and 109.1 pace in the Princess stakes. She lost that by about a length. The winner sat 10 back while Visible Slew and Brulay, a super nice sprinter at the time, slugged it out.

Her other loss was in the Hollywood Oaks in which Manistique won by 10.

Visible Slew was a really fun filly to watch and she really had only one way to run. Haul ass!

Her dam was one of my favorite turf mares, Visible Gold. She was this filly in the late 80s or so that would absolutely fly on the lead, sometimes opening up 10 lengths down the backside.

Anyways, this could be an interesting colt to watch, especially once she runs longer.
