Ghostzapper
Despite being a sensational bust as a stallion ... his offspring put up some of the more surprising numbers from a sire betting stat standpoint during the 2011 racing season.
Ghostzapper offspring posted a 14-for-59 (24% wins) with a tremendous $3.37 ROI as first-time starters. He had debuters who were 2nd at odds of 23/1 and 24/1 as well.
In 2011 -- his offspring compiled 752 starts -- winning 169 races -- for a 24% win percentage and a positive $2.10 ROI
In 2010 -- his offspring had a $1.97 ROI.
As horrible a failure as he's been ... his offspring seem to be winning races somewhere ... and now they're even tough 1st out. Probably explains why I only spend about 3-hours an entire year studying sire stats anymore.
