Default 3/25: Aqueduct (6th-9th)

Turfway's biggest spring day provided excellent entertainment early Saturday, with Motion/Team Valor reprise of the Spiral with a developing colt in End the Day Well. Later, the afternoon indeed ended well at Santa Anita with a substantial nightcap exotics hit and modest $143 P4. The 4 runners in the 10th under even money Baffert returnee Solar Rocket were all there for the exotics sweep including the $563 triple and $4,047 super thanks to 17-1 Zombyslayermrdrcy and 47-1 Breakmark. Playing those in the Hi-5 had potential to produce a pool scoop too as there is a $48k C/O in the wager for Sunday.

The quad action earlier in the day at Turfway was left wanting thanks to my completely wrong opinion on Fred Seitz' Rushaway winner Flashy Dancer. My thoughts that he was inappropriate for the spot at a short price was hazardous to both P4 plays, but I did catch a healthy $260 triple in the tricky Hansel when Hogy blew the field apart off the turn. The three tabs with him also produced the $868 super.

Hope everybody got something good out of the action. Minimal excitement from me for Sunday though I may come back with some thoughts on the Sunland action. My Aqueduct P4 look below and Gus offers Gulfstream & Hawthorne opinions as well..

AQUEDUCT

POST-SCRATCHES

6th: N-MDN CLM, 3yo, 6f (P4, P3, DD, Super)

Most Likely: #6 Rico Capote 3-1 WON ($5.30)
Best Value: #3 Lucky Lil Liam 5-1 2nd
Next Best: #8 Backdrafter 7-2 8th
Exotics Use: #5 Northern Rush 5-1 7th

7th: OC/N1X, F&M-4+, 1m (P3, DD, Super)

Most Likely: #2 Miss Tequila 2-1 6th
Next Best: #6 Lynnette 9-5 WON ($4.30)
Exotics Use: #5 Truth Will Tell 4-1 2nd (DQ'd from WIN)
Super Add: #3 Risk a Chance 5-1 3rd

8th: NY-MSW, F&M-3+, 1m (DD, Super)

Though the rest of the sequence is kind of humdrum, this event has plenty of intrigue. If you don't play the multis, you may want to play this. Yes Sugar Beach (5-1) has had plenty of chances, but her race on the AQU main track in November wins here. Meanwhile, Grunge Girl (8-1) moves into clever barn and Goldie's Reward (12-1) makes first start at 3 for excellent layoff outfit....

Best Value: #4 Sugar Beach 5-1 3rd
Next Best: #1 Stray Bullet 5-2 4th
Exotics Use: #6 Grunge Girl 8-1 2nd
Super Add: #2 Goldie's Reward 12-1 8th

9th: CLM, F&M-4+, 1m (Super)

Top tab stands out, but after them you can play with a number of pricey possibilities..

Most Likely: #7 Rock Star Royalty 2-1 WON ($)
Next Best: #8 Beautiful Risk 7-2 3rd
Best Value: #3 Connie the Queen 12-1 7th
Exotics Use: #2 There Goes Molly 12-1 8th

<$50 P4 Play:

6: ALL
7: 2-5-6
8: 1-2-4-6
9: 7

8x3x4x1 = 96 x .50 = $48

Good luck!
Steve
