Default Mitt Romney's disastrous day

After a press release yesterday announcing he was coming off the campaign trail due to concerns over Hurricane Sandy victims, Romney lied and was back on the campaign trail today doing multiple campaign events in Ohio.

Only, Romney said "it wasn't campaigning", it was "Storm Relief Rallies".

Romney asked everyone who attended his campaign stop - whoops, "Disaster relief rally" to bring canned food for hurricane victims.

(Note: the Red Cross begs people not to contribute canned goods, clothes, etc., as they are impossibly difficult to deal with and expensive to distribute. They prefer cash)

The Romney pool reporters were having none of this lie - people were showing up, they were regular campaign rallies, and Romney was handing out "Obama You're Fired" tee shirts.

The press were handed passes for the "Romney Victory Tour" of today's events.

Romney, who announced during the debates that he would eliminate FEMA, was today asked 14 times by his press pool to comment on that. This was videotaped and recorded. Romney literally ignored the questions, and is refusing to interact with his own press pool this last week.

Romney has thus been crucified mercilessly by his press pool and the public all over Twitter and the internet today (this afternoon) for lying about his campaigning (campaigning after expressing apparently false concern for Sandy victims) for refusing to answer questions about FEMA, for collecting canned goods as an excuse for campaigning, etc.

Mitt's other problem today was that he has recently lied about Jeep moving jobs to China (they are not) - then, after the auto company said that's completely false, sent the Romney campaign a letter saying so, and released a letter to the public saying so (they are actually expanding jobs in Ohio at that plant) and using the word "lie", Romney released an ad reiterating the lie. Auto company workers have been calling Jeep asking if Romney's ad is true, if they are losing their jobs - it is a 100% made-up Romney lie.

Today Romney was crucified for that obvious, deliberate lie in most major Ohio newspapers, and nationally. His campaign is sticking with the "we won't let factcheckers dictate our campaign" response: "we lie with impunity, and eff you who don't like it".

Romney has zero morals or ethics. Simply zero.
