Default FRI - Santa Anita (Breeders' Cup - Day 1)

Breeders' Cup - Day 1

Santa Anita

R1 - Alw 70k N1X (Turf 9F)

#6 Saint Loup (Fr) (5-2) - Has had time to adjust to Santa Anita and Euro company was solid.
#3 Segway (8-1) - Gets better draw which will help the cause.
#11 Quail Hill (6-1) - Better on turf and Ramon up adds to appeal.
#10 Dreamcatcher (8-1) - Should enjoy the extra distance.

R2 - Alw 70k N1X

#5 Warren's Amber (5-1) -There's enough speed lined up for her late kick.
#7 Big Tiz (2-1) - Has been ultra consistent. Logical.
#9 Magical Band (8-1) - Has been freshened up and after burning some money.
#4 D'princess (6-1) - Speedster hopes to hold on for a minor share.

R3 - Alw 70k N1X

#7 Macho Dorado (6-1) BEST BET - Expecting a huge effort with return to Santa Anita.
#6 Northern Iowa (6-1) - Fits well with the turn back in distance and class.
#1 Got Even (5-2) - Cuts back, but needs to duplicate latest try.
#8 Sir Allison (6-1) - Versatile runner must be considered.

R4 - Breeders' Cup Juvenile Sprint 500k

#3 Merit Man (8-5) - Should be able to sit and pounce on #4 South Floyd again.
#5 Super Ninety Nine (5-2) - Not easy to break maiden 1st time out at 7 furlongs.
#2 Ceiling Kitty (GB) (12-1) - Use to not running with lasix in Europe and having Tale of the Cat on the bottom helps.
#7 Sweet Shirley Mae (4-1) - Capable of waking up with the class relief.

R5 - G2 BC Marathon

#1 Atigun (9-2) - Grinder exits some tough races. Bullet coming in.
#5 Jaycito (6-1) - Looks to be in good position throughout with his style.
#10 Eldaafer (8-1) - Former champ still running decent races at 7yrs old.
#2 Fame and Glory (GB) (5-1) - Towers the field from a class point of view, but is this a desperate move switching to the dirt?

PK5 - 3 6 10 11 / 5 7 9 / 6 7 / 3 5 / 1 5 10 = $72 for $.50

R6 - G1 BC Juvenile Fillies Turf (Turf 8F)

#3 Sky Lantern (Ire) (3-1) - Group 1 winner looks to break the North American streak.
#6 Watdachances (Ire) (4-1) - Liked the way she finishes.
#14 Sustained (12-1) - Post hurts, but she's handled some traffic in last two.
#10 Waterway Run (10-1) - Improving filly should be forwardly placed throughout.

R7 - G1 BC Juvenile Fillies

#3 Spring in the Air (15-1) - Benefits from a potential meltdown in the final furlong.
#5 Dreaming of Julia (5-2) - Has the speed and is bred to handle two turns.
#2 Executiveprivilege (2-1) - Local horse just does enough to win.
#8 Kauai Katie (3-1) - Talented filly must deal with other speed.

R8 - G1 BC Filly and Mare Turf (Turf 10F)

#4 The Fugue (GB) (7-2) - Top class filly is in career form and has been pointed for this race.
#9 Marketing Mix (9-2) - Much the best in her local win last time out.
#8 Nahrain (GB) (6-1) - Proved her class in G1 Flower Bowl, but she was beaten by over 8 lengths by The Fugue in Europe.
#12 In Lingerie (12-1) -Wildcard tries the turf for the 1st time and the price will be right.

R9 - G1 BC Ladies' Classic

#6 Royal Delta (9-5) - Clearly the most accomplished runner, but no cinch.
#5 Awesome Feather (3-1) - Impressive return and will need to take another step forward to dethrone top choice.
#7 Include Me Out (15-1) - Local horse has been consistent just not spectacular.
#2 My Miss Aurelia (4-1) - This undefeated filly exits a tough race when battling Questing down the stretch.

BC Ladies' Classic / BC Classic Double - 5 6 / 3 5

PK6 - 3 5 / 1 5 / 3 / 2 3 5 / 4 9 / 5 6 = $96

PK4 - 3 4 5 6 8 10 12 14 / 2 3 5 / 4 9 / 5 6 = $48 for $.50

R10 - G2 Twilight Derby (Turf 9F)

#2 Speaking of Which (Ire) (2-1) - Dermot Weld is not going home empty handed this time despite this not being a BC race.
#8 My Best Brother (3-1) - No secret what the game plan will be. Others will need to run him down.
#4 Smart Ellis (8-1) - Will be at the mercy of the pace with his late running style.
#5 All Squared Away (20-1) - Great value underneath and must be used.

PK4 - 2 3 5 / 4 8 9 10 12 / 5 6 / 2 8 = $30 for $.50

Good Racing Luck
