Default 2/23: Gulfstream Park (5th-12th); Fair Grounds (P4)

GULFSTREAM PARK

POST-SCRATCHES

5th: MSW, 3yo, 6f (P3, DD)

Odd feel to this group with Ward side of entry Fogonazo SCR exiting a fast debut and Wilkes Exchange Rate colt Ruble, from Mrs. Whitham (Fort Larned), back for a 4th try at diploma. Firsters worth noting include Mott's Wygod homebred Distribution, a bay by Unbridled's Song out of wonderful Champion filly Sweet Catomine. Though Mott has been stunning with his early runners of late, Sweet Catomine's progeny have been repeatedly unable to make the track, let alone win. Her 2006 A.P. Indy filly Sweet Thoughts was 0/5 ($19k) and her next 2 products (another A.P. Indy and a full brother to Distribution), never ran. Kimmel and Rich Migliore's Summit Thoroughbreds' send Lead Singer, another Unbridled's Song. Frozen Four exits the Gombey Dancer race that Fogonazo comes from and while he could be better today, it's more than a sidebar that Castellano jumps off him in favor of Kenneally's Slan Abhaile who is owned by savvy Ocala pinhooker Eddie Woods..

Best Value: #3 Slan Abhaile 5-1 2nd
Next Best: #5 Ruble 9-5 WON ($4.80)
Exotics Use: #7 Distribution 6-1 7th
Super Add: #4 Lead Singer 6-1 4th

6th: FL-MSW, 3yo-F, 7f (P3, DD)

Live Oak/Clement FTS Victorious Won (More Than Ready) is a half to Za Approval (Ghostzapper) who is outposted in the Canadian Turf later. Both are recent products of Mrs. Weber's fountainhead Win Approval who began her broodmare career dropping 14x stake winner Revved Up and BC Turf hero Miesque's Approval back to back. Revved Up himself was a son of Live Oak's own foundation sire Sultry Song. Victorious Won may be more suited long term for the turf, but the fact that Clement starts him on the main is an endorsement for his aptitude..

Most Likely: #7 Victorious Won 3-1 8th
Next Best: #8 Tap It Easy 4-1 WON ($9.40)
Exotics Use: #9 Dreamlicious 6-1 2nd
Super Add: #5 Burning Truth 6-1 4th

7th: OC/N1X, 3yo, 8.5f-T/0' (P6, P3, DD)

Most Likely: #1 Bold Challenger 6-1 7th
Next Best: #8 Crop Report 5-1 3rd
Best Value: #3 Black Onyx 15-1 WON ($21.60)
Exotics Use: #4 Tesseron 5-2 4th

8th: OC/N2X, 4+, 1m-T/60' (P5, P3, DD)

Feels like a fun spot to use as many prices as you can. If the Rainbow 6 jackpot was still in play today, the 'all' would be needed to assure safe passage..

Best Value: #9 Dominant Jeannes 10-1 WON ($16.80)
Next Best: #5 Which Market 4-1 6th
Exotics Use: #11 Achilles 7-2 8th
Super Add: #1 No Play 15-1 10th

9th: 28th Davona Dale (G2), 3yo-F, 8.5f (P4, P3, DD)

Live Lively may be pretty special..

Most Likely: #4 Live Lively 5-2 WON ($6.20)
Next Best: #1 Private Ensign 4-1 3rd
Exotics Use: #3 Dreaming of Julia 4-5 2nd

10th: 49th Canadian Turf (G3), 4+, 1m-T/0' (P3, DD)

Data Link the classy horse to beat and out to avenge only beat on this strip in last year's edition of this race..

Most Likely: #4 Data Link 2-1 WON ($4.20)
Next Best: #3 Howe Great 4-1 7th
Best Value: #8 Scatman 12-1 9th
Exotics Use: #2 Beau Choix 6-1 3rd

11th: 69th Fountain of Youth (G2), 3yo, 8.5f (DD)

Wagering concept here comes down on how short a price Violence is and if you accept it. The more I've thought about it, the more I'm inclined to try and beat him. Speak Logistics feels like the price to work with having the most accomplished resume and having lured Rosario away from Orb. Majestic Hussar has opportunity to wing it on the front end but may get plenty of company. He is a half to Tiz Sardonic Joe and Joe's Blazing Aaron (Canadian Turf) and the stretchout should not be an issue. Mike Welsch said to expect Casse to SCR Sky Captain and it appears that Falling Sky is running (Late SCR)..

Best Value: #8 Speak Logistics 12-1 3rd
Next Best: #4 Majestic Hussar 6-1 4th
Exotics Use: #3 Violence 9-5 2nd
Super Add: #1 Orb 12-1 WON ($12.80)

12th: MSW, 3yo, 1m-T/60' (Super Hi-5)

Most Likely: #1 Sevenoaks 10-1 12th
Next Best: #4 Market Outlook 4-1 6th
Best Value: #9 Parnelli 20-1 3rd
Exotics Use: #5 Forever Thing 7-2 2nd
Super/Hi-5: #7 Summer Shiner 6-1 9th
