Trotting out a rookie who started the year in AA to save your season spoke volumes about their pitching staff as well. IMO if they played even one remotely competitive team down the stretch the result could have been different, but they had no chance last night.

Regardless on who they played, they still played almost flawless baseball down the stretch to make the post season.
They just got beat by a better and more talented team last night.
