![]() i heard mention early this morning about a House rule being changed, quietly, by some republicans. so, after i got some time, i started looking into it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Jd-iaYLO1A this is the youtube video that brought the subject to light. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/1...n_4095129.html this is an article about the video, which then brought me to wonder-how did they change the rule? well, republicans on the house rules committee changed the rule: http://talkingpointsmemo.com/dc/the-...eed-a-shutdown so, most likely a vote would have occurred, that would have prevented the shutdown. but only eric cantor, or his designee, can have a vote brought. this is an OUTRAGE. they changed a standing rule, to force a shutdown. a shutdown that would not have happened, had a vote been allowed. |
