Default Serling, Gaudet highlight Gulfstream simo makeover

Gaudet, Serling Join Gulfstream Championship Meet Broadcast Team

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL - Gulfstream Park announced today that Gabby Gaudet and Andy Serling will join its broadcast team for the Championship Meet which begins Saturday, Dec. 5 with the $1.1 million Claiming Crown.

Gaudet, on-air host the past two years for the Maryland Jockey Club, will serve as on-air host throughout the day during Gulfstream's Championship Meet. A graduate of Towson University, Gaudet has a history in Thoroughbred racing being the daughter of Eddie and Linda Gaudet, who have been involved in every facet of Maryland racing. Gaudet has also worked for TVG, HRTV and Breeders' Cup.

Gaudet will be joined opening weekend and during the months of January and February by New York Racing Association (NYRA) handicapper Serling, who comes to Gulfstream through a joint initiative between NYRA and The Stronach Group, parent company of Gulfstream and the Maryland Jockey Club. This initiative will also result in the staggering of post times between Gulfstream and Aqueduct this winter, providing additional options for horseplayers wagering on both tracks.

Serling, who grew up in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., has been with NYRA the past eight years. He has also worked for Daily Racing Form and Fox Sports.

Longtime South Florida personality and handicapper Ron Nicoletti will join Gaudet in December and March and will provide in-depth analysis of Gulfstream's races on-line and in the daily Handicapper throughout the meet. All three handicappers will also provide in-depth analysis of the 65th running of the $1 million Florida Derby Saturday, April 2.

Track announcer Larry Collmus returns for his 10th year as the voice of Gulfstream's Championship Meet. The popular Collmus is known for his exciting calls of the Triple Crown and Breeders' Cup for NBC.
