Holy Roman Emperor - what happened?
From Sky Sports.....
EMPEROR OUT OF GUINEAS Saturday 10th March 2007 Holy Roman Emperor, beaten twice by Teofilo as a juvenile including in the Dewhurst Stakes, has been ruled out of the 2,000 Guineas on May 5, according to Channel4 Racing. The Danehill colt, trained by Aidan O'Brien, was involved in a titanic duel with Teofilo for Newmarket's premier two-year-old race last autumn. Jim Bolger's charge just got the better of the battle, leaving enthusiasts rubbing their hands at the thought of a third clash between the pair in the spring. However, that will not now happen although the injury has yet to be confirmed. http://www.skysports.com/skysports/a...255199,00.html |
