13 nominated to Hall of Fame

The Hall of Fame Nominating Committee has selected 7 horses, 3 jockeys, and 3 trainers as 2007 finalists for nomination to the National Museum of Racing's Hall of Fame, according to the organization's web site.

Finalists in the jockey category are: Randy Romero, Jose Santos, and Alex Solis.

Trainers: Gary Jones, John Veitch, and Robert Wheeler.

Contemporary female horses: Inside Information, Mom's Command, Silverbulletday, and Sky Beauty.

Contemporary male horses: Best Pal, Manila, The Green Monkey and Silver Charm.

The individual with the highest number of votes in each category from the approximately 185 members of the Hall of Fame voting panel will be inducted into the Hall on Aug. 6.
