But! It was a long hiring/interview process. I had to take a standardized test, wiat a week, take a phone interview, wait two weeks, get a face-to-face interview, wait another week, and finally get an offer, and then wait 4 days to go in to meet with a guy for the formalized offer. And now that I accepted the formalized offer, I need to wait a month to start.
Oh ****... I keep getting off-point. Back to the phone interview part. It was with an out-sourced hiring group out of Ohio. They weren't a part of Dow at all. They guy who interviewed me, sounded so extremely disinterested in what I had to say. He didn't even wanna list all of my prior job experience and qualifications, because the way the "computer system" was set up for him. I remained calm, and didn't ge5t too pissy with him, because this guy could shut the door on me getting a face-to-face interview. Well, I thought it went so bad, because of his disinterest, that i wasn't even expecting a call-back.
It seemed like this out-sourced company had agents running phone interviews all day, and it was like I was just another person in line of about a million interviews that person had to do all day. I must've caught him on a bad day, or he just doesn't give a ****. But I thought I was screwed, but I thought at least I was polite. So maybe I made more of an impression that I thought, or maybe as long as I didn't sound "retarded" they gimme the face-to-face. I'm not sure which reason got me to the next step.
The long and the short of is, no matter how bad you think it went, you never really know... So I hope you think it went well, and good luck with the process all together. Have a good weekend
