![]() Get off the damned pageantry brigade!!!! If I have to watch one more Breeders Cup feature with the dramatic, teary eyed music, I'm going to throw a brick threw my television set.
Here's a clue: the game is about GAMBLING. It starts there and it ends there. Without betting handle, the owners would be running races in the yards of their estates. As for the horses themselves, they are powerful, no doubt. I guess I should say they WERE powerful; back before the introduction of the vile, synthetic surfaces poisoned the sport. One more clue: quit using all those awful camera shots in big races. How can anyone follow their horse? Try to take trip notes on the Kentucky Derby and you will get nauseated. I STILL haven't seen Curlin's trip in the Derby thanks to the terrible camera work. There, off the soap box. Maybe within 15 years, something will change in the coverage. |
