'Naughty' & Kelly's Expert Handling..
How about the career Pat Kelly has fashioned for Naughty New Yorker? Yesterday he won his 11th stake and pushed his career earnings to $965,000 in start 41 (or $23.5k/start).
One Gr. III win; a Gr. I placing; 4 other GSP's. 9 NY bred stake wins and at least one stake win at 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. Kelly never puts him in a spot where he can't hit the board, and despite being a very difficult horse to ride, rarely runs an off race. He's whole, but I've never heard Kelly talk about long term breeding plans or not, but you would think he'd be plausible as a regional sire. Liked him at 3, and enjoy watching him now.
