The field is all set,
And soon they will run,
For some it is business,
For others it's fun.

All winter long,
It was Bigs, Hooves, and Byk,
Tiggerv, Bogey,
Winners they'd pick.

Now it is my shot,
To re-turn the money,
Buy yourself something nice,
And something sweet for your honey.

This race is wide open,
Pace is a big factor,
Some are plain fast,
Some slow as the tractor.

The questions are many,
Like surface, distance, and trip,
No time to check,
Or a pallat to flip.

Derby one three four,
Will take minutes, just two,
The race boils down,
To just some, a mere few.

Toss out the Miner, Ekati,
And Anak Nakal,
Big Truck, 'Driano,
And big Cowboy Cal.

I will not be using,
Gayego, both Z's,
Big Brown, Bob BlackJack,
Eight Belles, Bykster please.

The break will be clean,
And out like a rocket,
Dutrows' and Lobos',
They'll empty your pocket.

He will run quicker,
Court Vision with shades,
I'm counting on quickness,
But also he fades.

Around the turn,
I picture a bunch,
Stalked by the 'Glory,
Call it a hunch.

Ground will be saved,
By little Mr. Cruz,
The Colonel far back,
For backers, bad news.

He's fully recovered,
A perfect trip he will sit,

Down on the fences.

Who's ob-sessed with fire.

What! No Big Brown,
Brown's the color of turd.

Big balloons will abound,
Pockets will stuff,
If you've read on this far,
You've read on just enough.

It's just my opinion,

And hope that Cork runs.
