Default My Saturday AM and Early PM in Lexington, KY

Their is not enough time or space to do this short time I spent in Lexington justice. I have been to Keeneland before, so a return trip was not in the cards as my pal has been their too. So, we decided on checking out some of the Horse Farms in the area before we ventured back 80 miles north to Florence.

First stop was Kentucky Horse Park. You are greeted as you enter by none other than a tribute to Man O' War. This place is TOP NOTCH! It is a little over 1,000 acres! For me the "Hall of Champions" is where it is at.

Unfortunately my battery ran dead on my digital camera, no pics but I have memories! I thought I would have the ones I took before it went dead, but they are not saved? Anyone know anything bout this? It is a HP M417 model.

We were close on time so we decided to take a scenic drive and scenic was it ever. White fence line after white fence line with nothing but beautiful countryside, rolling hills, beautiful homes and down to earth good people.

Was able to spend a few moments at Calumet, but was REAL close on time seeing how we needed to be in Florence no later then 3pm since I was working an Auction to benefit the Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame.

All I can say is that is great country, beautiful country. I will be spending a lot of time their soon.

As far as the IRL Race at Kentucky Speedway, I did get to meet Danica Patrick and she is 10 times nicer then I expected. I know Sara Fisher from when I worked the local Dirt Track Scene as a reporter, and too my amazement she remembered me. Cool lady she is. Kentucky Speedway is a beautiful track, stop by when you are in the area.

Hey PointG we stopped at the Cracker Barrell at Exit 19, Montgomery Road. Man that place WAS BUSY!

I love Lexington, KY.
