It is LA, $50 is a bargin to go to a big event. It cost like $20 to go to the clubhouse at Hollywood on a regular day. I know lots of guys who arent huge fans of racing that go to the events like TC races or BC because they are events, pure and simple. Some may decide simply to go to the WS over the BC if they live in LA, especially with the BC being there next year too.

I'll be in LA from the 16th so I'll see how many people I talk to even know the BC is going to be there. My guess is it isn't a large percentage. If I wasn't a fan of racing I'd much rather go to Hermosa for free and watch Luke Walton stumble around drunk in circles all day than pay $50 to watch a bunch of horses run in circles all day.
