![]() The professional Racehorse is not pansy pony. He often gets no attention in the media. He may be trained by someone that even many racing media have never heard of or met. He may not be a stakes winner, or if he is, it was ages ago. He runs in front bandages. He runs when it rains or snows, he runs at lots of different tracks. He has had 10 different trainers.
How about a thread dedicated to the Professional Racehorse, a "real horse" Hall of Fame. My first nominee: Wild Geese who yesterday won for the 6th time in 11 starts this year. He was reclaimed at MON last time out, by Contessa/Winning Move. Also include Golden Hare and an old NY favorite, now retired Arromanches.
