Dewey to run in Breeders' Crown, Fighting Throat Abcess

The connections of Deweycheatumnhowe have indicated that the 3YO trotter will in fact run this Saturday in the $500,000 Breeders' Crown 3YO colt trot at The Meadowlands. Dewey has been fighting a throat abscess lately, and has recently been treated at Cornell University for the abscess.

Despite the recent setback, Dewey still figures to be a heavy post-time favorite, drawing the #8 position against a field of 10. The 3YO trotting colt division of the Breeders' Crown was the only final that did not require eliminations last weekend at The Meadowlands, giving Dewey and rival Crazed a bit more time to prepare fo rthe final.
