You can DO it, Norse Dancer!
Good luck, good boy!!!
25th time lucky for Norse Dancer? by Tony Elves NORSE DANCER will make his 25th attempt at claiming Group 1 glory when he takes his chance in the Grosser Volkswagen Preis von Baden at Baden-Baden on Sunday. The six-year-old has not been seen out since disappointing when unplaced behind Irridescence in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Sha Tin in April but his trainer David Elsworth has never faltered in his belief that he could win at the highest level. German Derby winner Schiaperelli and the David Wachman-trained Fracas look his strongest rivals in a race which has attracted nine runners. David Elsworth is happy that his stable stalwart goes to Germany in good order for a race that is likely be run on good to soft ground. Elsworth said: “He went back to Jeff Smith (his owner) stud after his last run and has had a good rest. I’m not going to start and makeany wild predictions but the horse is in good form, it isn’t the greatest race and the ground is the same for all of them.” (From Racing Post). |
