nfl week 2
MINNY -2 vs.Carolina
All may not be as rosy as predicted for the Panthers. They were never in the game at home against the Falcons, and go on the road to face a pumped up Viking team with a new coach/attitude and a possibly re-vitalized Brad Johnson. The Viking D could be good enough to contain a slow starting Panther offense. Gotta love a pumped up, winning home dog. +116 on the money line. NYGIANTS +3 at Philly I posted on this earlier. This will probably be my strongest play, especially at +150 on the money line. ATLANTA -5.5 vs.Tampa Bay Falcons may well be the hot surprise team early on,while the Bucs may be the season-long whpping boy. Laying less than a td, with the Falcon D facing a much less potent offense than they did on the road at Carolina. ST.LOUIS -3 vs.San Fran I agree with whomever posted on this game earlier. The Rams still have a decent offense and a tough running back. The 9ers still suck. Lay the small #, and hope nothing motivates the home team. WASHINGTON +6 at Dallas Always enjoyable to watch Dan Snyder's teams lose. They have a lot of expensive talent(?) as always, but never put it together. Joe Gibbs needs to hang it up. They need a better showing after last Monday night's big home debut disappointment. They don't have to win this game for us to win $$$. The Cowboys also need to show up. I am skeptical about their offense. No surprise to lose to an always tough Jag team. I expect a close game, and the Skins are+235 on the money line. ARIZONA +7 @ Seattle I may be the only person around who doesn't like the Seahawks. I don't like their qb or his recievers. I love the way Seattle always chokes at the end of big games. I see them as over-valued this season, particularly early on. I wasn't impressed with the Cardinals last week, but see them as a team slowly putting it together. They should get quietly better as the season progresses. Another game where Zona doesn't have to win in order for me to win. JACKSONVILLE +1 vs.Pitt The Jags may well have the better team. They looked good against Dallas, particularly on the defensive side, which was hardly a surprise. I just don't veiw the Steeler offense as the same this year, and still see the team as over-rated. Of course, I would prefer to see Batch remain at qb, and it well may happen. Big Ben may be a little rusty and out of synch if he returns anyway. |
