The situations are completely different. 9/11 was a sneak attack that many Americans didnt think could happen. It was the first time in 50 years that we had been attacked on our soil. We as a country banded together because we all felt violated not all together different than perhaps how the country felt after Pearl Harbor. Now that we know that the threat is real and possible the govt in charge will take the heat and that wont change regardless of who is in charge.

I don't completely disagree. But I don't completely agree either.

Someone who wants to kill his or herself to kill Americans is going to pretty much do it whether the government tries to stop them or not. Sooner or later, one of them will be successful again. No amount of vigilance or government work is going to stop that.

I wouldn't blame President Obama or his administration for another attack any more than I blamed President Bush for 9/11, which is to say, not even one little bit.
