Born April 20th 2000 a few blocks from Saratoga Funny Cide went on to become the fisrt New York bred in modern day history to win the Kentucky Derby. More importantly in opened the door for thousands of fans to join in and become owners.

Let's not forget that the Derby "bluebloods" always arrive in chaufferur driven Limousines, this bunch from Upstate New York arrived in Churchill in a SCHOOL BUS in 2000 to witness this race and walk away with the grandest of trophies in our sport!
