Big crossroads race at Monmouth
I Want Revenge and Redding Colliery meet up in the Iselin.
These are two horses with very high upside - but can't be fully trusted unless they deliver something Saturday. Redding Colliery obliterated next out Hollywood Gold Cup winner Awesome Gem last out ... the Beyer came back 111 and it's a number I trust based on the days other route. They gave RC almost three months off to avoid "the bounce" (rolly eyes thingy) and he brings four straight bullets into this. A repeat makes him very dangerous for the BC Classic. I Want Revenge had every reason not to run well last time - he merely ran so-so. Reportedly looked great on Dutrow's big AM workout preview day. Every reason to improve into this - and if he doesn't... forget about him for the Classic. You can pretty much trust Devil May Care and Blind Luck firing - and you pretty much know what those two horses are - that's a better race, but this is the one I'm looking forward to. |
