Was rolling along amiably at Aqueduct Friday until stunning 8th race performance from tough-to-embrace Wild News threw the afternoon into chaos. The Parisella trainee dueled through a sharp half of :45.4 and finished strongly at 9-1, and when crazily overlaid Ready for Ryan won the nightcap at 20-1, a carryover and $1,900 ($1) P4 resulted. I caught the $92 9th race exacta with the Jerkens winner and Porcello, but really needed 15-1 Gasper C. to claim 3rd for what would have been a bulbous triple. No matter... Solid hit in the 4th helped make it an OK day, and the eclectic Saturday action should provide ample opportunity for bingos and yahtzees. Hope you did well!

Handful of well-matched horses here, and it's hard to know after the blah comeback if Multidude is still a horse. But Carlos Martin's results 2nd/layoff are astounding, and fact that he worked twice since return is encouraging. Tough start to the P4 with at least 4 short prices eligible for laurels on or near the front end, and Eltish Star lurking from the back of the back should a meltdown occur..
