Default Daddy Long Legs

I think he's one of the most interesting horses to watch coming out of the Breeders Cup -- and I hope he stays in America to race on turf here.

He flopped on dirt while finishing 12th in the BC Juvenile... but his super fast prior win on turf on Sept 24th at Newmarket keeps looking better.

Only two horses he faced on Sept 24th at Newmarket have since run back.

* 3rd place finisher Wrote (beaten 3.75 lengths) made a mockery of the BC Juvenile Turf field at 11/1 odds this past weekend.

* 4th place finisher Rockinate (beaten 5.25 lengths by Daddy Long Legs) returned to win a Group 3 stakes at 8/1 odds in his only subsquent start a few weeks ago.

And we know the Daddy Long Legs race was super fast to start with -- because the final time for a mile was 1:37.77 seconds. Just 0.17 seconds slower than the Group 1 Sun Chariot Stakes for older Fillies & Mares on the same exact day, same exact course, same exact distance, and same exact card - just 1 hour apart in post time.

Together was drowned in that Group 1 for 3yo and up females that only went 0.17 seconds faster ... and, for the same connections, she has since run 2nd in the Grade 1 First Lady at Keeneland before beating Winter Memories and Summer Sooiree in a Grade 1 one week later.

If they keep Daddy Long Legs in America ... expect huge things for him on the turf (and possibly synthetic) all next season. Hopefully they send Wrote back to Europe and leave him here.
