Taconite can't make money unless Wisconsin legislators remove environmental protections, thus decreasing costs to the company, and giving them a free walk to mine without repercussion for their destruction. And ore prices are falling, making the company not want to go ahead even if the law was passed. And yes, the vote, for those that voted no, had quite a bit to do with the environment. You see, some people actually do care about that. I know that's hard for you to understand, that some are positive removing regulations regarding safety and environmental contamination protections really matters.
