Default 3/26: DeDe Biles' F-T Florida Hips to Watch

Hip No. 2, a filly by Mr. Greeley–Fashion Cat, by Forest Wildcat. Consigned by Sequel Bloodstock, agent.

“She’s a real pretty Mr. Greeley filly that has a lot of speed,” said Sequel’s Becky Thomas of this chestnut juvenile whose winning dam is a half sister to grade I winner Peace Rules (by Jules) and stakes winner Wild Fashion (by Once Wild). This filly worked an eighth of a mile in :10 2/5 during the auction’s under tack show.

“She is by a ‘buzz’ sire, and she’s a big, pretty filly that has been forward from day one,” said Brennan of this chestnut juvenile, who is a member of her sire’s first crop and whose winning dam is a half sister to grade I winner Got Koko (by Signal Tap). “She is very athletic, and she is a tall and has a lot of scope to her. Many people have made the comment that she is the tallest Street Boss that they’ve seen. She’s very quick naturally (able to work an eighth in :10 1/5) and she’s very sound.”

“I love her; she breezed on the dirt solidly (going an eighth in :10 3/5), but it’s obvious that she’s got a tremendous turf pedigree,” said Brennan of this bay juvenile, which is a full sister to grade II winner Icy Atlantic and a half sister to grade III winner Wild Promises (by Wild Event). “She has tons of class,” Brennan added.

“He’s been a really nice colt and he never missed a beat at home,” said Tristan de Meric of this dark bay or brown juvenile, which is out of a stakes winner. “He’s a straightforward, uncomplicated horse. He had a nice breeze (covering an eighth in :10 2/5) and he galloped out strong.”

“She worked in the last set; she went (an eighth in) :10 1/5 and galloped out strong,” said John Stephens of this gray or roan juvenile, which is a half sister to Canadian grade II winner The Niagara Queen (by Langfuhr ). “She is a beautiful filly on the end of the shank; she shows herself well.”

“He’s a Derby horse; that’s what I think,” said Dean De Renzo of this bay juvenile, which is a half brother to stakes winner Millennium Storm (by Future Storm). “He’s amazing. His stride is huge and he has a turn of foot (working an eighth in :10 1/5).”

“He is the first foal out of (grade III winner) J’ray, who earned nearly a million dollars and was a tremendous mare,” said Brennan of this dark bay or brown juvenile. “He’s a big horse with scope; he’s the kind of horse that people should be looking for. He’s a two-turn horse and he went beautiful on the track. It (the time) was :10 4/5, but it was a lovely breeze. And he’s a New York-bred, which certainly doesn’t hurt.”

Hip No. 45, Iroquois Girl, a filly by Indian Charlie –Lake Huron, by Salt Lake. Consigned by Niall Brennan Stables, agent.

“She’s a gorgeous, big filly,” said Brennan of this dark bay or brown juvenile, which is a half sister to grade III winner Salty Strike (by Smart Strike ) and stakes winner Salty Response (by Cozzene). “She’s out of a Salt Lake mare and you can see some of that in her, that substance. She had a beautiful breeze (covering an eighth in :10 2/5) and she is such an elegant mover.”

“He’s probably one of the prettiest Tapits you’ll ever see,” said John Stephens of this bay juvenile whose winning dam is a half sister to stakes winner Gold Streamer (by Forty Niner). “He’s well-balanced and he’s got a good shoulder and a good hip. He moved really well on the track (while covering an eighth in :10 3/5) and had a great gallop out. He’s very popular.”

“He’s a very nice horse; he’s very mature for being a May foal,” said G.W. Parrish of this bay juvenile, which is out of a stakes winner. “He is a really good mover with a good mind and he got over the track well (while working an eighth in :10 2/5).”

“He’s a lovely horse,” said Woods of this dark bay or brown juvenile, which is out of a stakes winner and is a half brother to added-money winner Lavender Lass (by Skip Trial). “He’s correct, he’s beautiful looking, he’s done really well (working an eighth in :10 1/5), and he’s by a great stallion.”

Hip No. 64, a colt by Any Given Saturday –Moravia, by A.P. Indy. Consigned by Off The Hook, agent.

“He’s a very nice turf horse,” said Off The Hook’s Joe Appelbaum of this bay juvenile, which is out of a winning full sister to grade II winner Adriano (by A.P. Indy). This colt breezed a quarter mile on turf in :21 2/5 and was the faster of the two workers at that distance on grass.

“She’s a very quick, all-American 2-year-filly (that worked an eighth in the co-fastest time of :10),” said Woods of this bay juvenile, which is the out of an added-money winner that is a half sister to stakes winner Ingrid the Gambler (by Johannesburg). “She looks like what those good 2-year-old fillies look like.”

“He’s like the good Lion Hearts; he’s got a bit of leg and he’s got a bit of length to him,” said Woods of this bay juvenile, whose winning dam is a half sister to grade III winner Weigelia (by Safely's Mark). “The better ones that we’ve had are that way. He’s a smashing horse (that worked an eighth in the co-fastest time of :10).”

“She is such a pretty filly and has a big walk,” said Pike Racing’s Al Pike of this dark bay or brown juvenile, which is out of a stakes winner and is a half sister to added-money winner La Concerto (by Aptitude). “I’ve loved her all winter. She’s a nice filly.” This 2-year-old is a member of her sire’s first crop.

“It’s hard not to like this horse because he’s got a tremendous demeanor; he’s just such a professional,” said Brennan of this bay juvenile whose winning dam is a half sister to English group III winner Voyagers Quest(by Dynaformer ) and stakes winner One By the Knows (by Tabasco Cat). “He had a tremendous breeze on the track (covering an eighth in :10 2/5) and he did it with such style. He did it in hand, really. He is a very sound horse and shows so much poise.”

“He’s been an exciting colt since he came to us,” said Boutte of this chestnut juvenile, whose dam is a half sister to grade I winner Forest Secrets (by Forest Wildcat) and grade III winner Rumor Has It (by Awesome Again ). “He’s done everything right. He loves to train. He comes into the barn and eats up and then takes a nap. He does all the things that you would like a horse to do. He’s gorgeous. You stand him out there and he looks like a man instead of a 2-year-old.”

He has a big walk and just has a lot of presence about him.”

“She is a very efficient mover and she does everything right in the barn and on the track,” said SGV’s Steven Venosa of this bay juvenile, which worked an eighth in :10 4/5 and whose dam is a half sister to stakes winners Select Green (by Capote) and Outrigger (by Gulch). “A lot of the Malibu Moons are a little bit more sprinters, but we feel like she is more of a two-turn horse. She really covers the ground.”

She’s getting penalized a little bit by the few really fast horses, which is a great mistake, but that’s the way it goes around here. We’ve always liked her quite a lot.”

He’s been galloping horses into the ground at the farm.”

I think he is a really nice horse."
