![]() Remember the infamous UC Davis pepper spray incident of the Occupy campus protesters?
![]() Well, all the independent investigations are complete, and it turns out the Occupy people are 100% exonerated from any culpability for this disaster. 1) the student occupy camp was entirely legal, the students checked it out legally before hand (permits, etc) and college officials were made aware of that ("When the university's legal department found out that Chancellor Katehi was going to order the camp removed, they thought they made it clear to her that the students were right.") 2) closing the camp by the campus was illegal 3) pepper spraying the students was a violation of not only their legal rights, as there was no lawbreaking involved, but illegal pepper spray type was used, and it's use was a clear and definitive violation of appropriate use as outlined by the PD. 4) The UC Davis police chief has resigned over this More, with lots of details and links to the original info, here: http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/0...Spray-Actions-
