Default 5/26: Belmont Park ($32k C/O); Hollywood Park (American H.)

Caught late P4 and conso'd in chalky P6 Thursday at Belmont, but we won't have to worry about too many short prices Saturday. $32k P6 and $350k guaranteed P4 sequences are nothing short of impossible with an average of 11 horses in each race including an intriguing edition of the Sheepshead Bay. I could use 4-6 horses in each event in the P4/P6 sequences and not feel overly confident about hitting anything! But let's give it a try as a great 3 day weekend of racing kicks off!

BELMONT PARK

POST-SCRATCHES

5th: MDN CLM, 3+, 6f-OFF THE TURF (P6, P3, DD)

$32k P6 C/O starts here..

4-6-8-10-11-12-16 remain in after off turf SCR's..

Most Likely: #8 Shy Humor 4th
Next Best: #10 Tricky Guy 3rd
Exotics Use: #6 It's Truly Ahvee WON ($6.90)
Super Add: #16 Cameron Canyon 2nd

6th: CLM, 3+, 6f (G/S, P3, DD)

Most Likely: #6 Skinny Peter 9-2 4th
Next Best: #8 Antenna 7-2 5th
Exotics Use: #1 Fulton Street 4-1 2nd
Super Add: #9 Political Justice 6-1 WON ($5.20)

7th: CLM/N2L, F&M-3+, 8.5f-T (P4, P3, DD)

Late P4 starts with another maniacal heat that has far too many possibilities to cover on any reasonable multi-race play with class droppers galore, layoff returnees and several with less than obvious turf form. Dee Tee's own Ausable Chasm involved here and a check of any kind would be a pleasant surprise as she tries stretching out on the lawn for the first time from the widest berth of 12..

Best Value: #2 Silent Joy 12-1 2nd
Next Best: #9 Royal Sighting 6-1 WON ($16.20)
Exotics Use: #10 Truly Devoted 7-2 5th
Super Add: #5 Lillehammer 8-1 12th

8th: Sheepshead Bay (G2), F&M-3+, 11f-IT (P3, DD)

Assume going in that the turf will have plenty of give to it and 2nd time North America Juddmonte mare Principal Role should benefit from it. Motion has said Aruna will come out if the course is too soft..

Best Value: #6 Principal Role 6-1 3rd
Next Best: #7 Distorted Legacy 6-1 5th
Exotics Use: #5 Aruna 3-1 WON ($6.10)
Most Likely: #4 Hit It Rich 7-2 2nd

9th: NY-ALW/N1X, 3+, 8.5f-T (DD)

Much like the 7th, a race that has perhaps 8 conceivable winners with all 12 possible thereafter. Don't be shy about taking swings with giant price horses..

Most Likely: #8 Unbridled Command 3-1 3rd
Best Value: #9 L L Flying Notes 30-1 7th
Next Best: #4 Chilton 6-1 8th
Exotics Use: #1 Out of Your Mind 15-1 10th

10th: NY-MSW, 3+, 6f-IT

A fitting end to this mind-bending slate..

Most Likely: #8 Gossip Column 3-1 4th
Best Value: #3 Irish Humor 10-1 3rd
Next Best: #5 Mr. Rosenthal 12-1 2nd
Exotics Use: #7 Life of the City 3-1 -

<$150 P6 Play:

5: 6-8-10
6: 1-6-8-9
7: 2-9-10
8: 6-7
9: 8
10: 8

3x4x3x2x1x1 = 72 x $2 = $144

<$75 P4 Play:

7: 2-9-10
8: 6-7
9: 1-3-4-8-9
10: 3-5-6-7-8

3x2x5x5 = 150 x .50 = $75

HOLLYWOOD PARK

POST-SCRATCHES

8th: American H. (G2), 3+, 1m-T (DD, Super)

Plenty of viable options for beating vulnerable Mr. Commons at too short a number..

Best Value: #8 Mobilized 8-1 5th
Next Best: #10 Mr. Commons 8-5 2nd
Exotics Use: #1 Compari 7-2 4th
Super Add: #9 Liberian Freighter 12-1 3rd

Good luck!
Steve
