Collapsing after racing

I'm confused.

This is about Flax who is a Singapore runner.

Now I don't know anything about such things but he collapsed twice after racing.

Is he trying to tell them something? Should they be concerned? Should he be running or are there factors I'm not taking into account by wondering such things (like the weather over there, etc)...
