he's fairly extreme when it comes to conservatism, eventhough I believe he is extremely correct.. and it seems like republicans only want extreme if you are extremely religious and anti-gay.
people arent ready to give up their crutch, their government... we as a country have become WAY to dependant on government... people arent ready for a truely small federal government and more states rights.

it's really too bad we got away from being isolationist. we stayed out of both world wars until we pretty much got our hand forced in the second one...even after the sinking of the lusitania, killing american civies, we still didn't enter ww1 til the zimmerman note.
and then of course we just had to fight communism. sheesh. now, in gulf one, we did it correctly. game hussein plenty of time to get out, got the world together on it, and crushed him quickly and decisively and got kuwait taken care of. one of our few recent foreign policy issues we got perfect. that's probably the only armed conflict since ww2 that we got right.
